“The main over-arching intention of my practice is to satisfy an attempt to consider and self-actualise my queered (specifically queer-masculine) identity within the contexts of the constantly fluctuating and mercurial hyper-reality which surrounds us. Inspired by the concepts of rural-frustration and actualised queer-joy, my CG filmography aims to locate the queered-masculine identity within various destructive, yet sensationalised virtual hyper-worlds and sequences.

My degree show films, “SATIN CHROME” (2022) and “INFINITEVIOLENCE” (2022) are among a series of non-linear, semi-autobiographical CG films which are not necessarily narrative, but are inherently inter-linked. They loosely follow a queered-masculine figure whose identity is unknown, who accidentally survives some kind of apocalyptic event/armageddon. The figure becomes burdened with the responsibility of being the last living example of humanity and then becomes subjected to a seemingly infinite violence of repetitious, un-consensual transfiguration. There is a constant battle between a sense of becoming, and a sense of un-becoming in the imagery of the filmography, suggesting the uncertain conceptual fate of the online avatars we create and perform as on the Internet”
